Overview
There are several ways for hosted customers to connect to Avionté, allowing for different systems and configurations. Each method requires a Company Code to connect. Your Company Code is a three-character identifier that uniquely identifies your account. If you do not know your Company Code, contact your Client Manager and they will provide it to you.

Connect to Aero
- Open your preferred web browser.
- Navigate to "https://companycode.avionte.com". Replace "companycode" with your Company Code. This loads the published Job Board page set as default.
- Note: If no Job Board has been published, you'll be taken directly to the Sign in page described in step 4.

Click Staff sign-in.

On the Sign in page, enter your username and password.

Connect to Core Application with Internet Explorer on Windows
This is the recommended method of connecting to the Core Application.
- Open Internet Explorer.

Navigate to login.aviontego.com. This will open the Avionté Application Portal page.

In the Username field, enter your Avionté username.
Note: First time users, the username will have a firstname.lastname format. - In the Password field, enter your Avionté password.
Note: The password for first-time users will be randomly generated and the user will be prompted to change the password before using the application. -
In the Security section, Select the appropriate setting for your environment.

Click Sign in.
Note: First time users will see an error stating "Your password is expired. Click here to change it." A secure password will need to be created before signing in. For more information, see the Password Reset section below. -
On the Avionté Remote Applications screen, click on the Avionté icon to launch the application.
Password Reset
The error message stating "Your password is expired. Click here to change it" will require the user to reset their password before logging into the Avionté core application.
- When the error message displays, click the link to reset the password.
- Enter a new password. The password guidelines are listed below:
- Cannot contain the user's account name.
- Cannot contain parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters.
- Must be eight characters long.
- Must contain at least three of the following types of characters:
- Uppercase letter (A-Z)
- Lowercase letter (a-z)
- Number (0-9)
- Special character (%, !, @, #, etc.)
- Cannot contain the user's account name.
- Sign in with your new credentials.

Remote Desktop Client Connections
Microsoft's Remote Desktop Client can be used to connect to the Avionté application on a Windows or Mac machine.
- When setting up a Remote Desktop Connection, ensure the drives are also shared.
- Launch the RDC application by clicking the Windows Start button .
- In the search box, type "Remote Desktop Connection", and then, in the list of results, click Remote Desktop Connection.

Click Show Options.

In the Computer field, enter “companycode.sh.aviontego.com”, where "companycode" is your Company Code. E.g., “xyz.sh.aviontego.com”.
- Click the Local Resources tab
- Place a check mark next to Smart Cards, Ports, Drives, and other supported plug and play devices
- Click OK
Connect to Core Application with Microsoft Remote Desktop Client on Windows
- Launch the RDC application by clicking the Windows Start button .
- In the search box, type "Remote Desktop Connection", and then, in the list of results, click Remote Desktop Connection.

Click Show Options.

In the Computer field, enter “companycode.sh.aviontego.com”, where "companycode" is your Company Code. E.g., “xyz.sh.aviontego.com”.

In the User name: field, enter “user.name@aviontego” where "user.name" is your Avionté username. E.g., “john.smith@aviontego”.

Click the Advanced tab. This opens the RD Gateway Server Settings window.

In the Advanced tab, click the Settings button.

Click the radio button next to Use these RD Gateway server settings.

In the Server Name field, enter "companycode.gw.aviontego.com", where "companycode" is your Company Code.

Click the Logon method drop-down menu and select Ask for password (NTLM).

Verify that the boxes next to Bypass RD Gateway server for local addresses and Use my RD Gateway credentials for the remote computer are both checked.
- Click OK to close the RD Gateway Server Settings window.
- Click Connect to launch the Core Application.
Connect to Core Application with Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac
The Avionté Suite application is a Microsoft-based application, but can be accessed smoothly with the Microsoft Remote Desktop application even when using a different operating system such as iOS/Mac.
Note: Ensure your remote desktop application is the is the most recently available (e.g. Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 (August 2018)).

Install the latest version of Microsoft Remote Desktop from the Mac App Store.
- Open the new version of Microsoft Remote Desktop.
- In the upper-left, click the drop-down menu icon next to the "+" icon.
- Select Feeds from the menu.
- The Add Feeds displays. Enter the link to the Avionté application with your unique, three-character company code inserted into the URL. https://ABC.aviontego.com/RDWeb/Feed/webfeed.aspx
- Click Find Feed.
- The User Account drop-down menu displays. Select Add User Account from the menu.
- When prompted, enter your Username & password:
- AVIONTEGO\user.name (change "user.name" to your username)
- Note: user.name@aviontego.com also works. Click on save once credentials are entered correctly

- AVIONTEGO\user.name (change "user.name" to your username)
- Click Save Feed.
- The Microsoft Remote Desktop application now features the Avionté icon. Click the icon to access the application.
Enable Folder Redirection
- Select Microsoft Remote Desktop from the upper left of the Mac screen.
- Select Preferences. The Preferences screen displays.
- Select Browse from the "If folder redirection is enabled for Feeds or RDP files, redirect:" option
- Select the folder(s) or drive(s) to which the system should redirect.
- Click Choose. The updated redirect will take effect at computer restart.
Troubleshooting - No Applications Available in the Microsoft Remote Desktop Application Window
If the Microsoft Remote Desktop application is not able to communicate with the Avionté servers, the list of available remote applications in the Microsoft Remote Desktop window will be empty.
No Network Connection
If the Microsoft Remote Desktop application is launched with no network connection, the Avionté remote applications won't be able to load. This results in an empty list.
- Ensure that the network connection is active.
- Launch the Microsoft Remote Desktop application.

Click Feeds.

Click Refresh.
Incorrect Username and Password
If the application doesn't recognize the username or password used, the Microsoft Remote Desktop application won't be able to connect to the Avionté servers. This results in an empty list.
This will also occur if your Avionté password has been changed.

Click Feeds.

Verify that the username is correct.
- Enter the current password in the Password field.
- Click Refresh.
Keep Microsoft Remote Desktop in Dock
Keeping a frequently used application in the dock makes it faster and easier to launch.

While the Microsoft Remote Desktop application is open, right-click on the icon in the dock.

Mouse over Options.
- Click Keep in Dock.
Connect to Core Application Via Third-Party RDP Client
Any RDP client that supports Microsoft RDP Protocol version 7.0 can be used to connect to the Core Application. The process of configuring other RDP clients will be similar to those described above for the Microsoft client above.
The table below lists the common information needed to configure an RDP client. In all cases, “companycode” should be replaced with your Company Code.

Connect to a Parallel Environment
The method for connecting to a parallel environment is identical to those outlined above. However, each method requires the substitution of a parallel environment URL.
