Standard Canadian Report - ON Statutory Holiday Report_CA

Report Description

Like American holidays, some Canadian holidays, though recognized, do not garner paid days off. Along with federally recognized holidays, Canada also has provincial and territorial holidays. Even though they're celebrated nationally, vacation is not paid for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Father's Day, or Halloween. Statutory holidays - which include New Year's Day, Good Friday (Easter), Canada Day, Labour Day and Christmas Day - are celebrated nationwide and are paid days off for employees. Federally regulated employees also get Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Thanksgiving and Boxing Day off and it is common practice, however, not required, for non-federal employees to get these holidays off as well.

This report provides information about statutory holidays for employees in Ontario.
