Addition of Standard Occupational Classification Codes |
Why did we do that? |
With this enhancement, additional Standard Occupational Classification [SOC] Codes have been made available at a more granular level by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Therefore, this inactivated previously supplied SOC Codes. See below for how to mitigate inactive codes. |

The SOC LookUp screen will now display 2 additional columns: Inactive: The new inactive column will aid the user to see the Standard Occupational Classification Codes [SOC] that are no longer active and with the addition of the DRM, the user will be notified if they are using an inactive SOC code. It is at this point that you would want to select the more granular code that your selection is being replaced by. The Warning displayed in this case is: "A Job Position with an active Standard Occupational Code is required for SUI filings for this worksite state."
Grouping: The new groupings column will aid the user in filtering down to the proper SOC code. Groupings include:

This DRM will provide the user a warning if their Default Regular Rate transaction type has a zero pay rate value in Time Entry > Sheetview. |

With the addition of this DRM, if the user has a Transaction Type configured with the selection of Default Regular Rate, and the pay rate has a zero value in Time Entry Sheetview [most commonly to occur with imports], the user will be notified of the zero pay rate value for those transaction types. Enhanced audit logging has been added to verify Canadian Social Insurance Numbers [SIN] using the Luhn algorithm. A Time Entry DRM will warn the user when there are missing or invalid Social Insurance Numbers. Another DRM will warn the user when the SIN value is all zeros.
