It was recently announced the permanent extension of EI sickness benefits from 15 weeks to 26 weeks beginning on December 18, 2022.

California

The California COVID Supplemental Leave is expiring December 31, 2022. If the law expires while a covered employee is taking this leave, the employee can finish taking the amount of 2022 COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave they are entitled to receive.

New Hampshire

New Hampshire has implemented a State Paid Family Leave Plan. Effective January 1, 2023, this is a voluntary plan, and it is a post-tax deduction.

Philadelphia, PA

Philadelphia recently joined the ranks of other U.S. cities requiring certain employers to offer a commuter transit benefit to employees, starting December 31, 2022.
