A Department can be added to an Agency using the New Department Wizard. Visit the New Department Wizard help page for information on how to add a Department.
Employees, including employees currently on assignment, can be added to a department once the new department has been created.
In most cases, Avionté recommends closing the previous order and assignment, creating a new order and assignment, and then assigning the employee. Closing the previous order and assignment ensures that records are not duplicated because duplicate records can affect reporting. Properly closing and creating a new order and assignment also ensures that transactions created for a specific employee in Time Entry are accurate.
