Patch 14.1.4 updates how deductions are applied and processed within Avionté. This update simplifies the deduction process and adds system checks to prevent errors when processing deductions.
- Any deductions with a year-to-date amount available will appear on all pay stubs even if the amount calculated for the specific check is $0. (Employee might not have any 401k deduction in the month of March, but a check will still display the year-to-date total generated by the months of January and February)
- Deductions are applied to a check based on the date range the check was issued for and not the date range the check was issued during. (If a user goes back in the calendar year and cuts a check for an employee, the deductions that would be present if that check had been cut at that time will be present. Previously it was based on the deductions currently applied to the employee)
- The Balance Amount field in Employee > Deduction > History > Balance Amount has been made read only as changing this value could invalidate check calculation.
- All types of deduction limits (Yearly, monthly, period) may be applied to all valid deductions not exempt from these limits)
- New DRM-supported sequence restrictions have been put in place to prevent incorrect deduction processing.
- All-or-nothing, Disposible Income (DI) and non-DI exempt deductions can only be put on the same sequence as similar deductions.
- Tiered and levy deductions must be processed individually on their own sequence.
- New DRM-supported deduction setup is put in place to prevent incorrect deduction creation
- Per Hour deductions may never be set up as Tiered, a Levy, or a percentage
- All-or-Nothing deductions may not be set up as Tiered, Per Hour, a Percentage
- Advance Pay Back & Advance Pay Back Fee deductions should always be a Fixed Amount
