Most computers have a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) which allows users to connect a local computer (i.e home office) to a remote computer (i.e corporate location). Microsoft uses the "Remote Desktop Connection" application to make this connection

Avionté recommends TSPrint as an alternative to Easy Print. TSPrint works with Remote Desktop Connection to quickly transfer print jobs between local and remote systems. Because of its ability to handle large-volume print jobs, Avionté strongly recommends using TSPrint when printing large jobs such as paychecks or invoices.

TSPrint Requirements

• The TSPrint print client must be installed on the end user's computer.
  
  
• A TSPrint printer must be selected from the available print options. 

Installing TSPrint (v 3.2.3.13)

1. Go to https://www.terminalworks.com/remote-desktop-printing
2. Click Download to launch the download options screen.
   
   Note: This is a free download.
   
   
3. Find the Client section
4. Select your operating system from the dropdown,
5. Click on the Download Client button
   1. The download should save to your Downloads Folder
      
      
      
      
6. Double click on the file to run
   
   
   
   
7. Select your language and click the OK button
   
   
   
   
8. To start the install, click on the Next > button
   
   
   
   
9. Click on the Next > button and select the radio button next to 'I accept the agreement' to continue the installation process.
   
   
   
   
10. Click on the Next > button
    
    
    
    
11. Select the location on your computer where you want to save the file. Once you have selected a place, click Next.
    
    
    
    
12. Click Install to install the program on your computer.

Configuring TSPrint

Once installed, TSPrint will need to be configured to work within Avionté.

1. Launch the TSPrint Options by navigating to Start > TerminalWorks > TSPrint > Options.
   
   
   
   
2. Under Printer Settings, Select Default for the Print Engine.
3. Select the name of the default printer. 
   
   Note: This is the name of the printer where the documents will print.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Check the box next to Map Settings. Selecting Map Settings will allow you to select job-specific printing preferences.
5. Click on the Apply button
   
   

Using TSPrint in Avionté

1. Select the document(s) that need to be printed and select the Print icon. This will launch the Print window.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Under the Select a Printer window, select a TSPrint option:
   
   

   Option	Description
   TSPrint Default	Prints to the default printer selected on the end user's computer.
   TSPrinter	Opens a print dialogue box that allows the user to select a printer before printing.
   TSPrint PDF	Creates a PDF file on your computer.

   Note: A TSPrint option must be selected or the print job will not print through TSPrint.
   
   
   
   
3. Select Print to print the document(s).
   
   

Troubleshooting TSPrint

Issue

The number of designated documents to print changes when printing.

Resolution

This is a known issue that can occur when printing. This is not an issue with your Avionté software. Follow the below steps for a work around for this issue.

1. Launch the TSPrint Options by navigating to Start > Terminal Works > TSPrint > Options.
   
   
   
   
2. Change the print engine to Default and click Apply.
   
   

Issue

TSPrint is not functioning correctly.

Resolution

1. Ensure you have the most recent version of TSPrint downloaded. Go to http://www.terminalworks.com/remote-desktop-printing/downloads and download the most recent Client version.
   
   
2. Complete the installation wizard.
   
   
3. Log out of Avionté.
   
   
4. Log into Avionté again.
