Note: This Asurint plugin installation guide is for self-hosted clients. Avionté-hosted clients who need a plugin installed should contact their client managers or submit a ticket in Support Center.

Background check plugins are used in two components of Avionté’s suite of applications:

  • Core Avionté application
  • Suite API

The plugins can be installed in either a shared location or locally on the drive. This location should contain all the plugins that will be used.

The plugins themselves require Avionté 14.2.1 or higher.

To complete the installation, see Install a Background Check Plugin.

Installation

To install, simply unzip the contents of the plugins to the location of your choice, whether it be a shared location or local to each component.

Configuration

If this is the first time a plugin has been installed, three configuration files will need to be updated. The path to be placed in the files mentioned below should be an absolute path. This value should be something akin to the following (referred to as {Plugin-Location}):

               \\Path\To\Plugin\Location

And the web API path (referred to as {API-Path}) follows a pattern similar to:

                https://domain.name.com/Avionte/api/integration/backgroundcheck/asurint

Core Avionté Application

For each instance of the deployed core application, the file Avionte.Suite.Win.Application.exe.config will need to have the following line updated:

               <add key=”BackgroundCheckPluginPath” value=”” />
               with:
               <add key=”BackgroundCheckPluginPath” value=”{Plugin-Location}” />

Note: These changes will also require users to restart the core application after applying them.

Suite API

For each instance of the deployed suite api, the file web.config will need to have the following line updated:

               <add key=”BackgroundCheckPluginPath” value=”” />
               with:
               <add key=”BackgroundCheckPluginPath” value=”{Plugin-Location}” />

Next Steps

To complete the installation, see Install a Background Check Plugin.
