DOL ANNOUNCES FMLA AUDITS

The Department of Labor announced in response to a worker initiative to safeguard rights and ensure protections for workers in warehouse and logistics industries, it would ramp up FMLA audits (as well as wage and hour audits generally) on employers, particularly in the warehouse and logistics industries.

SICK LEAVE UPDATES

We have released an update to our Maine Sick Leave and added a new British Columbia Sick Leave Plan.

Congratulations to WorkN President Ericka Hyson for the release of the collaborative book Together We Rise. Ericka is one of 15 women featured in the book who shared their personal stories as a woman in business. Proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to nonprofit organizations that focus on promoting diversity, equity and inclusion of the underrepresented.
