Withhold Email from Talent and Hiring Manager

If one does not want automatic emails to be sent to the talent and hiring manager on a Job, it's possible to enable or disable the Withhold Emails option from the Operations & Financials widget on the Job Details page. This setting controls specific automated emails, including timesheet reminders, timesheet submission/approval notifications, new user welcome emails created via placement on a job, and WorkN pipeline/notification emails. However, it does not control client notifications during job creation.

Setting Withhold Emails

  1. Go to the Job that you would like to change.
  2. Go to the Operations & Financials section.
  3. Click the Edit icon.

  6. To ensure new jobs default to “Withhold Emails = Yes,” update the “Job Defaults” in the Table Editor.

Common Scenarios Triggering Emails

  • Timesheet Approver Assignment: Assigning a timesheet approver may trigger a one-time email with a temporary password.
  • Automated Reminders: Emails such as timesheet reminders are sent unless “Withhold Emails” is enabled.

Troubleshooting Unexpected Emails

  1. Check the “Withhold Emails” setting for the job.
  2. Review recent actions, such as assigning roles or creating new contacts, that might have triggered notifications.
  3. Investigate the type of email sent to determine its trigger and adjust settings accordingly.
