What is the new feature? |
We have added the ability to configure a Pay Code transaction type to default using the employee’s assignment regular rate |
Why did we do that? |
By adding this option to the Transaction Type configuration, the system will use the new property value of “Default to Reg Rate” which will default the rate to the regular rate for the transaction types entered in Classic Time Entry > Sheetview, if there is no rate applied to the transaction type.
For example: In the case of Holiday Pay, by using the new property of REG Rate Defaulted in the transaction type configuration, when transactions are entered in Classic Time Entry > Sheetview, the system will automatically allocate the Pay Rate to the same value as the Pay Rate for REG. Previously you would have had to manually enter the Pay Rate for each of the employees.
In Admin Tools > Transaction Type there is a new Type Option of REG Rate Defaulted that can be selected. In the absence of a rate for the transaction type, the system will use the employee’s assignment regular rate.
Only the Standard Timecard Import feed has been updated to include this new property value of “Default to Reg Rate” but does not retroactively update transactions for existing Import/Export configurations.
All other import feeds will NOT automatically update and customers who utilize the Import/Export feature and want this new property value to apply, will have to make a request through Technical Services to get the logic updated in their custom Import/Export. |

What is the new feature? |
Disable the ability to update a set Config year |
Why did we do that? |
Once a config year has been set, changing the start and end dates can have undesirable downstream impacts. By not allowing the changing of the start or end dates, this will prevent these potential impacts.
In Admin Tools > Config Year tab, once the start and end dates have been saved, the dates cannot be edited. |
