Here are a couple of top questions from the webinar we didn't get a chance to cover:

Q: How do you complete mass pay corrections related to SUI ER rate changes for the year?
A: Paycheck corrections are only for EE tax changes, lost/damaged checks. If it does not affect the net or the employees pay, then do not process corrections. If the SUI Rate needs to be updated, then please reach to Support so our TS team can run the SUI Recalc for the year.

Q: How are PTO and/or Accruals affected with a Paycheck Reversal?
A: When you run regular payroll, accruals and PTO will show up on the paycheck. When we complete a paycheck reversal or reissuing, we essentially are adding accruals and PTO time to the system. Ex: If talent gets paid 40 hrs. and accrues 5 hours of PTO on their original check, when we reverse the paycheck to include 10 hrs. of OT with 2 hours of accrued PTO, they will keep those five hours from the original pay and will also receive the 2 hours off of the OT they worked.

Oppositely, let's say we overpaid the employee, and paid them for 40 hours, but they only worked 30 hours. Advanced Bank will take the accruals for those ten hours out of their next paycheck to recoup the payment.

  • Hi all! I wanted to present a question (and answer!) our Training Team received:

Q: One question that came up that didn't get answered was about billing for the reversed check.  We only do ACH payments to employees.  So, if we do a check reversal and correct the mistake for the employee will it also generate an adjusted invoice for the client?

A: Once you have completed a check reversal and have corrected the mistake for the employee, it will not generate a newly adjusted invoice for the client. You will need to complete an invoice correction as well. We will be reviewing that process next week in the BOLD 201: Invoice Correction Mastery Webinar. You can register for that session here!
