Password Expiration & Reset - Avionté User Manager

When a password expires in Avionté, a user will be able to set a new password without any outside assistance. In addition, admin users can reset the password of any internal back office user at any time via Avionté User Manager. This can be done if a password is forgotten, expired, or otherwise stops working.

The error message stating "Your password is expired. Click here to change it" will require the user to reset their password before logging into the Avionté core application.

1. When the error message displays, click the link to reset the password.
   
   
2. Enter a new password. The password guidelines are listed below:
   
   
   • Cannot contain the user's account name.
   • Cannot contain parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters.
   • Must be twelve characters long.
   • Must contain at least three of the following types of characters:
     • Uppercase letter (A-Z)
     • Lowercase letter (a-z)
     • Number (0-9)
     • Special character (%, !, @, #, etc.)
       
       
3. Sign in with your new credentials.
   
   

Password Reset

If a password is forgotten, and cannot be changed by the user, any admin user can do a manual reset for them via Avionté User Manager. If you do not know how to access Avionté User Manager, please see this article: Avionté User Manager (AUM) – Avionte Classic (zendesk.com)

To reset a users password, once logged into Avionté User Manager, do the following:

1. Select the desired user in the Enabled Users column on the left. 
2. Click Reset Password.
   
   
   
3. Click Yes to confirm the password reset for the selected user(s).
   Note: Click No if the selection is incorrect. Re-select the desired users and repeat steps 2 and 3. 
   
   
   
4. Click Ok in the pop-up window.
   Note: The user's password will be set to a randomly generated password and the user will be prompted to reset it at the next login. Avionté Suite passwords expire every 90 days. This is not a configurable expiration time.
