Has anyone been able to figure out how to get the talent status to change/update automatically? For example, when a talent starts an assignment, can that automatically change to active, or when a talent ends an assignment, can that automatically change to not working?

I had put this in as an enhancement request awhile back. It would be great to be able to set conditions that would trigger a status change. Our old ATS could do that. But I do not believe it is currently possible.
Hi Michele,
We are just in the process of migrating to Bold and I asked that exact question. Right now it is a manual change of status from what we have been told. I am not sure if they intend to change that in the future or now, but it definitely would be helpful.

Not here. Placement status is the only one we see automatically changing around a candidate's placement. Love to hear if anyone has had success on this one.
Hi Michele,
Have you tried using the Talent Placements Status instead of the Talent Status? With Talent Placement Status the system can change a Talent from Unplaced, to Placed, or Active Contractor to Former Contractor, etc., when someone starts or ends an assignment.

In Classic I used to have a job that switched employees from Active to Inactive after certain period of time without working but I was told this was not possible in Bold.
We've had the same thoughts and asked awhile back ago. We were told that you have to do this manually. We would love this could be an automated process.
Hi Jacqueline,
Thanks for the response! The placement status is helpful, but for some reason, our 401k report as well as our ACA report are pulling from the Talent status which is causing a lot of issues.
From what I understand once the talent is created, many different ways, that status stays the same unless it is manually changed.
I'm not sure what the difference is between the placement status and the talent status, why there are two different statuses and what they are tied to. Anyone know this?
My understanding is that Placement Status can only really be utilized in the Talent Search, which is definitely helpful. But in all other reporting, including those in Classic Back Office and Bold Analyze, it's all about the Talent Status---Placement Status doesn't really hold much value there.
Also, we integrate with Sense, and Placement Status doesn't quite map correctly there, whereas Talent Status does.
