1. Michigan Sick Leave Policy Update (Effective 2/21/2025)

Improvement: Updates to the Michigan Sick Leave Plan

We’ve updated the Sick Leave_MI accrual plan to align with Michigan’s Earned Sick Time Act changes, effective February 21, 2025. These updates ensure compliance with state regulations and automatically apply to employee plans.

Key Updates:

🟡 Accrual Rate: 1 hour of sick leave per 30 hours worked
🟡 Gap Days (Rehire Window): 183 days – Employees rehired within this period retain their accrued sick leave balance.
🟡 Waiting Period Before Use: 90 days after employment start.
🟡 Maximum Sick Leave Usage Per Year: 72 hours (0 = Unlimited).
🟡 Pay Period Limit: No limit (0 = Unlimited).
🟡 Yearly Limit: No limit (0 = Unlimited).
🟡 Allowed Carryover Hours: Unlimited (0 = Unlimited).
🟡 Accrual Based On: Calendar year 
🟡 Max Accrual Balance: No limit (0 = Unlimited).
🟡 Automatic Plan Updates: Yes – Employee plans will be automatically updated with these changes.

1. T619, Electronic Transmittal Update

Improvement: Updates to the T4/T4A XML generation with T619 Transmitter Account Number

We've made updates to the T4/T4A XML generation to improve accuracy and compliance. Now, the first element in the XML file will always be the T619 if the T4 Transmitter Account Number is entered.

Key Updates:

• Fields Removed – The following fields will no longer appear in the XML:
  • rpt_tcd
  • trnmtr_nbr
  • trnmtr_tcd
  • trnmtd_addr/ (including addr_l1_txt, addr_l2_txt, cty_nm, prov_cd, and pstl_cd)
    
    
• Fields Updated – These fields have been renamed for better clarity:
  • TransmitterName/l1_nm (previously trnmtr_nm/l1_nm)
  • TransmitterCountryCode (previously trnmtd_addr/cntry_cd)
    
    
• New Field Added: TransmitterAccountNumber
  A new TransmitterAccountNumber field has been introduced, based on a new Supplier Property: "T4 Transmitter Account Number". This field will appear in the XML if it matches one of the following formats:
  • bn15 → 15 alphanumeric characters
  • bn9 → 9 numeric characters
  • trust → 1 alpha + 8 numeric characters
  • nr4 → 3 alpha + 6 numeric characters

🚨 Error Handling: If the value does not match one of these formats, an error will be triggered.

• These updates help ensure compliance and accuracy in your T4/T4A XML filings. No action is required unless your T4 Transmitter Account Number does not follow the required formats.
