1. Paystub Update for Oregon Compliance (Live)
Improvement
We've updated paystubs to rename the "Tax EIN" field to "Business Registration Number" at the top of paystubs. This change ensures compliance with Oregon Senate Bill 906 (SB 906), which was signed into law on May 28, 2025, and becomes effective January 1, 2026 HR WorksLittler.
Key Updates
Oregon's new law amends ORS 652.610 to enhance pay statement transparency by requiring employers to provide detailed information about earnings, deductions, and payroll codes on itemized wage statements HR WorksLittler. This update helps ensure our payroll system supports customers in meeting Oregon's requirement to provide clear employer identification information on pay statements. Employers who fail to comply may face civil penalties of up to $500 per violation from Oregon's Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) HR Works.
How does this impact you?
If you process payroll for employees in Oregon, paystubs generated through the system will automatically display "Business Registration Number" instead of "Tax EIN" at the top of the paystub. This change affects paystubs viewed in the Analyze and Back Office Reports area within the Payroll workflow. No action is required on your part—the update will be applied automatically to help you maintain compliance with Oregon regulations.
2. ACA Companion Logic Update (Live)
Improvement: Updated the logic used in the ACA companion to allow for 2025 1095-C and 1094-C generation.
Key Updates:
- ACA companion has been updated to allow you to generate 1095-C and 1094-C forms for end of year 2025.
How does this impact you?
- You may now generate 1095-C and 1094-C forms for end of year 2025 using the ACA Companion.
2. State Saves_Employee Contribution AQ & State Saves_Employee List AQ Updated For Rhode Island (Live)
Improvement: Updated the reports State Saves_Employee Contribution AQ and State Saves_Employee List AQ to include Rhode Island within the State selection drop-down menu.
Key Updates:
- The two reports previously did not have the option to select Rhode Island when running them. This has now been added to both.
How does this impact you?
- If you have employees in RI, these reports will now track them.
3. T4 Updated to Show Severance Pay (Live)
Improvement: Updated T4 to show severance pay.
Key Updates:
- If a talent has severance pay it will now be put in Box 67 of the T4. If a talent has severance pay it will not be included in Box 14 as wages. If a talent has only severance pay a T4 will generate with the information in Box 67 and show 0 in Box 14.
How does this impact you?
- T4 will now correctly show severance pay with no manual modifications required.
