🚀 What's New
Released 12/18/2025
What is the improvement?
BIC (Benefits in a Card) is now available as a Custom Filled Job Requirement under Additional Integrations. This enhancement allows you to prevent job placements until talent has completed required BIC onboarding tasks, with flexible enforcement options based on employment type (All Talents, 1099 Only, W2 Only, or C2C Only).
Why?
When managing benefits enrollment compliance, you need assurance that talent has completed all necessary benefits-related onboarding before starting work assignments. Previously, there was no systematic way to enforce BIC task completion before placement, creating risk of non-compliance with benefits enrollment regulations and potential gaps in required documentation. This requirement provides a hard stop that ensures talent cannot be placed on jobs until their BIC onboarding is complete, protecting your organization from compliance issues and ensuring seamless benefits enrollment for every placement.
How does this impact you?
Configuration: Navigate to Company > Requirements > Onboarding Tasks > Additional Integrations to set up BIC requirements. When you select "BIC" from the dropdown (visible only when the BIC integration is enabled), choose one of four enforcement options:
- All Talents: Enforces BIC completion for all talent regardless of employment type
- 1099 Only: Enforces BIC completion only for 1099 contractors
- W2 Only: Enforces BIC completion only for W2 employees
- C2C Only: Enforces BIC completion only for Corp-to-Corp contractors
Placement Enforcement: Once configured, the system blocks job placements when talent either doesn't have a BIC onboarding task assigned or has a BIC task that isn't in a "Completed" state. You'll receive a clear error message identifying the missing BIC task requirement, allowing you to address the issue before proceeding with placement.
What's Not Affected: Talent with completed BIC tasks can be placed on jobs without interruption. Additionally, talent whose employment type doesn't match your selected requirement (for example, W2 employees when you've selected "1099 Only") can be placed without BIC validation. Jobs that don't include BIC requirements in their requirement group remain unaffected by this change.
Middle Name Field Added to Background Check Requests - Live
🚀 What's New
12/04/2025
What is the improvement?
We've added a Middle Name field to the background check request interface in BOLD. This optional field allows users to include a candidate's middle name or initial when submitting background check requests to Background Check Partners.
Why?
Background Check Partners require middle name information for accurate federal background checks and identity verification. Without this field, customers experienced potential delays in processing, increased risk of incomplete results, and verification challenges. Adding this field ensures complete candidate information is submitted, improving the accuracy and efficiency of background check processing.
How does this impact you?
When initiating a background check request through the background check flyout screen, you'll now see a Middle Name field where you can optionally enter the candidate's middle name or initial (up to 50 characters). This field supports special characters commonly used in names, such as hyphens and apostrophes. If you leave the field blank, the system will proceed normally and send a blank value to the Background Check Partner. This enhancement helps ensure your background check requests contain complete candidate information for more accurate results.

Benefits in a Card (BIC) New Filled Job Requirement - Live
🚀 What's New
12/04/2025
What is the improvement?
We've added a new job placement requirement option for BIC (Benefits in a Card) in the "New Filled Job Requirements - Integrations" section. Administrators can now enable a toggle that prevents talent from being placed on jobs until they have completed their BIC onboarding task, ensuring benefits enrollment compliance before placement.
Why?
Organizations using BIC for benefits enrollment need to ensure talent complete their benefits onboarding before starting work to maintain compliance. Previously, there was no systematic way to prevent job placements for talent who hadn't completed their BIC onboarding tasks, creating potential compliance risks and requiring manual verification. This enhancement provides an automated compliance check that prevents non-compliant placements while maintaining flexibility for organizations that don't require this validation.
How does this impact you?
If your organization uses BIC, you'll now see a BIC option in the "Additional Integrations" section under "New Filled Job Requirements - Integrations" in your table editor configuration. When you enable this toggle, the system will verify that talent have a completed BIC onboarding task before allowing job placement. If you attempt to place talent who haven't completed their BIC task, the system will display an error message and prevent the placement. If you leave this requirement disabled, talent can be placed on jobs regardless of their BIC task status. This enhancement affects the job placement workflow and helps ensure benefits enrollment compliance across your organization.
Note: Any requirements set up in the Table Editor will apply to every new Job that is created.
