City Level Sales Tax Management - Live | Off Cycle
🚀 What's New
This release does not follow our normal two week release cycle. The feature or update is in progress but does not have a confirmed ship date at this time. We will update this note when a release date is established.
What is the improvement?
Back Office users can now manually add and manage city-specific sales tax rates directly in Avionté. A new City tab in Admin Tools > Sales Tax mirrors the existing County tab layout, giving you a familiar and consistent experience for managing tax configurations at the city level.
Why?
Managing city-level sales tax rates has historically required workarounds or manual adjustments outside the platform. For staffing agencies operating in Washington state — where city-level tax obligations can vary — having a dedicated place to configure these rates reduces the risk of errors and keeps your tax setup centralized and auditable.
How does this impact you?
Navigate to Admin Tools > Sales Tax and select the new City tab. From there, you can add city-specific tax records by entering the State, City (free text field), Tax Rate, Start Date, and End Date. The City Name field accepts any text entry, so you are not limited to a predefined list of cities.

Qualified OT Premium Amount Now Visible in the UI - Live | Off Cycle
🚀 What's New
This release does not follow our normal two week release cycle. The feature or update is in progress but does not have a confirmed ship date at this time. We will update this note when a release date is established.
What is the improvement?
A new read-only Qual. OT Amt field now displays the calculated Qualified OT Premium amount in two locations: the Transaction Detail view in Work History and the Detail section of the Time Entry Card view.
Why?
When reviewing payroll transactions, verifying that the correct OT premium amount has been calculated requires either running a report or querying the database directly. This field surfaces that value in the UI where you are already reviewing transaction details, making it faster to confirm accuracy without leaving the screen.
How does this impact you?
The Qual. OT Amt field is read-only and displays a formatted dollar amount (e.g., $1,234.56). It appears in two places:
- Work History: Employee > Work History > open a transaction > Transaction Detail — positioned between the ER Contribution and Profit % fields.
- Time Entry: Time Entry > Card View > Detail — positioned between the Payment Cost and GP % fields.
The field updates automatically when a different transaction detail record is selected and displays $0.00 when no value is present. No configuration is required to see this field.

York Adams Tax Bureau (YATB) Standard Export - Live | Off Cycle
🚀 What's New
This release does not follow our normal two week release cycle. The feature or update is in progress but does not have a confirmed ship date at this time. We will update this note when a release date is established.
What is the improvement?
Avionté Classic Back Office now supports a standard payroll tax export for the York Adams Tax Bureau (YATB) in Pennsylvania. Three separate export files are available: EIT Quarterly, EIT Annual, and LST Quarterly. Each file follows the PAlite format specification used by YATB and outputs as an Excel file, consistent with existing Keystone and Berkheimer standard feeds.
Why?
Agencies operating in York or Adams County, PA previously had to prepare YATB tax submissions manually, increasing the risk of formatting errors and adding time to quarterly and annual reporting cycles. The new exports automate file generation in the format YATB requires, reducing manual effort and supporting compliance with Pennsylvania local earned income tax and local services tax obligations.
How does this impact you?
If your agency has employees working in York or Adams County, PA, three new export options are available in the standard export menu:
- EIT Quarterly — Local earned income tax, filed each quarter
- EIT Annual — Local earned income tax, filed annually
- LST Quarterly — Local services tax, filed each quarter
System Setting/User Permission Update: No unique user permissions required — enabled like all other AQs.

Branch Access Warning on Timecard Import - Live | Off Cycle
🚀 What's New
This release does not follow our normal two week release cycle. The feature or update is in progress but does not have a confirmed ship date at this time. We will update this note when a release date is established.
What is the improvement?
When importing a standard timecard file, Avionté Classic now checks whether the importing user has branch access to all records in the file. If the file contains records from a branch the user cannot access, a warning is displayed before the import proceeds. The user can review the warning and choose to continue with the import.
Why?
Previously, users could import and approve time for employees assigned to branches outside their access, without any indication that those records were included. The imported records would be processed silently, creating a risk of unintended time entry for employees the user should not have visibility into. This change ensures users are aware of out-of-scope records before completing an import.
How does this impact you?
When you run a standard timecard import in Avionté Classic, the system will now scan the file for records belonging to branches outside your access. If any are found, a warning message will appear identifying that the file contains records you do not have access to. You can acknowledge the warning and proceed, or cancel the import to review the file. Records from branches outside your access will continue to be excluded from your Time Entry view after import.
