Understanding This Report

What This Report Shows You

The Deduction Submittal Report gives you a detailed, historical snapshot of every payroll deduction that accompanies a check to an agency or deduction authority. Each row represents a single deduction transaction, showing the talent, the employer, the check and case details, and the garnishment authority information needed to process the submittal.

Why Use This Report

This report helps you manage day-to-day operations and answer critical questions:

  • Which deductions are being submitted to which agency or authority?
  • How much was withheld and remitted for a specific garnishment case?
  • Which talent had deductions processed in a given check?
  • Are submittals tied to the correct garnishment authority address?
  • How many deductions were processed for a specific deduction type over a given period?

Who Benefits From This Report

Different roles use this report to address specific operational needs:

Payroll Managers: Rely on this report to verify deduction submittals are accurate and complete before checks go out to agencies and authorities.

Compliance Teams: Use the report to confirm garnishment amounts and authority details match what’s required for each case.

Finance Managers: Use the report to reconcile deduction totals against payroll and accounting records.

Branch and Office Managers: Reference the report to quickly answer talent or agency inquiries about a specific deduction or submittal.

Practical Applications

The Deduction Submittal Report empowers payroll and compliance teams to move through submittal cycles with confidence. Payroll managers validate that every garnishment check is paired with the correct authority address and case number before it goes out the door, while compliance teams confirm amounts withheld match what each agency expects. Finance managers strengthen month-end reconciliation by tying gross, garnishment, and net amounts back to accounting records in a single view. When a talent or agency has a question about a specific deduction, branch managers can pull up the exact transaction—complete with a direct link to the talent’s record—and resolve it on the spot. Together, these workflows elevate submittal accuracy and keep every deduction transaction fully accounted for.
