What is the update?

The Washington non-dairy Agricultural Overtime Plan was updated to 48 hours per week

Why did we do that?

The Washington non-dairy Agricultural Overtime Plan was updated from 55 hours per week to 48 hours per week on 1/1/2023

Now What?

Overtime Plan of OT 48/wk should be used for Washington non-dairy Agricultural Overtime.

All employees with an existing Overtime Plan of Washington Ag OT Plan will be moved to an OT Plan of OT 48/wk.

The Overtime Plan Washington Ag OT Plan will be deprecated and will no longer be available.

What is the update? Compliance | Colorado - Paid Family and Medical Leave Export
Benefits? With this enhancement the Colorado Paid Family & Medical Leave – Wage Export is now available for export in Weekly Process > Export/Import > with a New Feed of Colorado - Paid Family & Medical Leave Export.
Now What? For the New Feed of Colorado - Paid Family & Medical Leave Export permissions would need to be configured in Admin Tools > System > Report > Advance Query> User for Colorado - Paid Family & Medical Leave Export

What is the update? Compliance | Greenshades Error Handling for duplicate SSN
Benefits?

With this enhancement, we have introduced an additional notification when there are duplicate Social Security Numbers [SSN] in a supplier.

SSN: ######### is associated with multiple employee records for this supplier. Please review.

What is the new feature? Ability to configure the Record of Employment [ROE] Last day for which paid
Benefits? With this enhancement, the user will be able to configure a specified ROE Last Date Paid under Employee > Extra
Now What?

This is to be used if the employee's ROE Last Date Paid is not equal to the system default of the Assignment end date. The ROE Last Date Paid must fall within the date range of the final transaction week worked.

Release Date: 2/16/2022

What is the update? Third-Party Tax Engine – Canada Pension Plan [CPP] Self-Adjust flag
Benefits? With this enhancement, the CPP calculation will now perform a Self-Adjustment when calculated through the third-party tax engine.
Why did we do that?

In early January of 2023, CPP and EI were calculated using the 2022 rates; this was incorrect and fixed as of January 6th.

 

While not all Canadian customers were impacted, the ones that were will see that their CPP will be automatically corrected on the employee's next payment, using the new self-adjust flag we are sending to our third-party tax engine.

 

Employees who were impacted and have no further payments in the year will require an adjustment to be made at the end of the year.

 

What is the update? Oregon Paid Family Leave W2 Label
Benefits?

The W2 Yearend form for the values of Oregon Paid Family Medical Leave [PFML] has been updated to reflect the employee portion:

  • In Box 14 of the W2
  • With a Label of PAID LEAVE OREGON

 

What is the update? Correction of Texas SUI Obligation Assessment
Benefits?

In the January third-party tax engine release, it was communicated that SUI Obligation Assessment is no longer in effect for 2023.

 

To mitigate the impacted customers, a script will be run to remove Employer SUI Obligation Assessment amounts that were processed in 2023.

Next Steps?

If you are a customer that has employees that work in Texas and has had the TexasSUI Obligation Assessment tax calculatedyou will want to re-run your G/L.
