What's new? |
A new user permission has been added that allows for access to the background check results reports to be controlled within BOLD. When the permission is disabled for a user, the report button will be hidden from all areas where users can access the results report. This includes the Talent > Screening page, background check widget, and expiring background checks widget. When the permission is enabled for a user, the report button will be visible and clickable from all areas where users can access the results report. This includes the Talent > Screening page, background check widget, and expiring background checks widget. |
Why did we do that? |
BOLD integrates with a number of different background check providers who don't all have the same level of controls for viewing background check results. By adding a user permission within BOLD, we can ensure the proper users have access to viewing results, no matter which partner integration is being used.
Additionally, most partners don't separate permissions for the ability to order a background check vs. the ability to view results. With the addition of the "View Background Check Results Report" user permission in BOLD, we now have more flexibility and options for the level of background check access we give a user.
