Submitting to SimpleVMS via AviontéBOLD
Talent can be nominated to SimpleVMS jobs via the same methods you would nominate a talent for any position, either via the Job page itself or directly from the talent's profile. If you do not know how to nominate a talent to a position, please see our article on Nominating Candidates.
Once you have nominated them for the position, from either location, you will see a new fly-out screen with the option Submit Talent to VMS.
No matter which location you are in, this fly-out will have the same options.
First, you will enter the Pay and Bill Rate for the position. Once entered, below those you will select all Job Requirement Attestations. Next, you will select each job requirement compliance item below, indicating the category of the compliance item, and the item itself in the drop-down menus.
Finally, if there are any Custom Job Requirements for the position, you will enter those in the last section. Depending on your setup, you may or may not have these for the position in question.
Once all required submission information has been entered, click Submit, and the nomination will be sent directly to your SimpleVMS system.
Pre-Employment Requirements
When submitting candidates to SimpleVMS jobs, document requirements vary based on how the employer configured the job and the job type:
These settings determine which documents are required at submission vs. pre-employment.
For Direct Send jobs:
- All requirements, regardless of type, must be completed before you can submit the candidate. This is because Direct Send jobs do not include a candidate interview process
For non-Direct Send jobs:
- Required at submission: Job requirements marked as "Vendor Retains" or "Attached on Submittal" must be completed before you can submit the candidate. These requirements will be displayed with a red asterisk (*) in the BOLD candidate submission screen
- Pre-employment requirements: Documents marked as "Pre-Employment" are needed to hire the talent but are not required at initial submission
If you submit a candidate to a non-Direct Send job without completing all pre-employment requirements, the submission will succeed. However, if the employer attempts to hire the candidate before these documents are uploaded, the nomination stage will automatically update to "VMS Pre-Employment Reqs" in the nomination bucket on the Candidate/Talent Management screen.
To complete the placement:
- Navigate back to the candidate's job nomination in BOLD
- Upload the remaining pre-employment documents
- Resubmit the candidate
This flexible workflow accommodates temp-to-hire and post-interview document collection processes, allowing you to submit candidates quickly while ensuring all required documentation is collected before placement.
Submitted Candidate View in SimpleVMS
Once submitted via AviontéBOLD, the candidate will then appear in SimpleVMS under the Submitted Candidate page for employer review.
You can directly access the position they were submitted for from this location by clicking their name. Here they can update, approve, or reject the nomination.
Candidate Updates
To modify the status from SimpleVMS, click the status drop-down and select the status you would like to move the talent to.
Any submission stage updates selected by the employer appear in the job nomination screen in Bold.
Placements
If the talent is hired, you can also do this directly from SimpleVMS.
Once hired, a new placement will appear for that talent on the job.
Additionally, if the buyer ends the job in Simple, setting an end date and end reason for the worker, the placement will be ended in Bold.
