How do I change my browser language (e.g. English to Spanish)?
While browser language support is not a function created or administered by Avionté, it is a frequently asked question as many staffing agency applicants and employees use English as a second language.
The procedure outlined below is for the Google Chrome browser, however, other browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer have similar language support features. Links to individual browser language help pages are available at the bottom of this article.
Chrome Language Adjustment
- Open the Google Chrome browser.
- Click the Google Chrome browser menu icon in the upper-right.
- Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click Advanced on the bottom of the page.
- Click Language to expand the language menu.
- Click Add languages.
- Select the language to which Chrome will be translated.
- Click ADD. The new language will be available in your browser with the word "RELAUNCH" in its row.
- If the computer will frequently be accessed by users of the new language, click the More actions menu to the right of the new language.
- Place a check mark in the box next to "Offer to translate pages in this language"
Each time the browser is opened, users will be offered to translate the browser content into the new language.
- If the computer will frequently be accessed by users of the new language, click the More actions menu to the right of the new language.
- Click RELAUNCH in the row of the chosen language. All instances of the browser will reload. Any text able to be translated into the new language will change.
