24/7 Talent App Activity in Talent Search - Live 5/21

🚀 What's New

What is the improvement?

AviontéBOLD Talent Search now includes a new search term called 24/7 Talent App Activity, available for HCM users with the mobile app connected. This search term lets you filter talent based on their 24/7 WORK app usage — including login status, work access, activity dates, profile creation dates, and access errors — directly from the Talent Search interface.

In addition, five new columns are available in the Field Chooser so you can display app activity details right in your search results without opening individual records.

Why?

When managing a large talent pool, knowing who is actively using the 24/7 WORK app helps you identify engaged candidates and quickly troubleshoot access issues. Instead of opening individual talent records one at a time, you can now filter and sort your entire talent base by app activity in a single search — saving time during high-volume outreach and onboarding.

This is especially valuable for coordinators who need to confirm that talent have successfully logged into the app before a shift, or for administrators troubleshooting access errors across multiple talent records at once.

How does this impact you?

When using Talent Search in AviontéBOLD, you can now add the 24/7 Talent App Activity search term. Once added, you can filter by any combination of the following parameters:

  • Status — Single-select dropdown: Logged in, Logged out, or Never Logged in
  • Work Access — Single-select dropdown: Enabled, Pending, or Disable
  • Last Active — Optional date range (From, To, or both)
  • Profile Created — Optional date range (From, To, or both)
  • 24/7 Access Error — True/False toggle (leave unselected to exclude from your search)

All parameters are optional — use as many or as few as you need to narrow your results.

After running your search, you can also use the Field Chooser to show or hide five new columns in your results grid:

  • Status — Logged in / Logged out / Never Logged in
  • Work Access — Enabled / Pending / Disable
  • Last Active — Date
  • Profile Created — Date
  • 24/7 Access Error — True / False
    • If you select Access Error of 'True' in your parameters, the other parameters will disappear so you will only be able to search for Talent with access errors on the record.

When you open a talent record from your search results, the Talent's App Activity widget on the record will match the search criteria you filtered on.

System Setting/User Permission Update: This search term is only available when your AviontéBOLD build has the mobile app connected and you are an HCM user.

Daily Rate Type Removed from Jobs - Live 5/21

🚀 What's New

What is the improvement?

For clients using the Avionté Back Office Integration, the "Daily" rate type has been removed from jobs. When creating a new job, the Rate Type dropdown now defaults to "Hourly" as the only option. Existing jobs already set to "Daily" or "Hourly" are locked and can no longer be edited.

Why?

When integrated Back Office clients used the "Daily" rate type, those timesheets didn't sync to Back Office time entry because Back Office doesn't support daily time entries (ie. the full day/half day time). This forced clients to manually enter those timesheets in Back Office for payroll and billing.

By standardizing on the "Hourly" rate type going forward, all timesheets will sync to Back Office automatically — no more manual entry on new jobs.

How does this impact you?

If you're an integrated Back Office client, "Hourly" is now the only rate type available for new jobs. Existing jobs with a "Daily" rate type still display correctly but are read-only and can't be changed.

For customers who have existing jobs with a rate type of "Daily" they will have to continue to manually enter those timesheets in Back Office.

If you are an AviontéBOLD only client, nothing changes — you can still select from both "Daily" and "Hourly" rate types.

System Setting/User Permission Update: None.

Benefits in a Card & Hooray Health | Front Office-Only Tenant Enrollment - Live 5/21 | Off Cycle

🚀 What's New

Released 5/21/2026

This release does not follow our normal two week release cycle. The feature or update is Live as of 5/21/2026.

The Benefits in a Card (BIC) and Hooray Health (HH) enrollment integrations now support organizations operating in a Front Office-only (FO-only) environment — meaning no Back Office instance is required to complete health insurance enrollment through an onboarding task.

For organizations that do have a Back Office integration, nothing changes — enrollment continues to use the existing BO Talent GUID as before.

Why?

Front Office-only tenants were effectively blocked from using the BIC and Hooray Health onboarding integrations. This enhancement closes that gap by giving the system a reliable way to identify Talent in a FO-only context.

How does this impact you?

Talent at organizations running AviontéBOLD without a Back Office instance can now receive and complete BIC or Hooray Health onboarding tasks just like Talent at fully integrated tenants. When they click the onboarding task and are redirected to the enrollment portal, the system will correctly pass their Bold Talent ID so the enrollment is associated with the right person.

If your organization already has a Back Office integration, there is no change to your workflow. The BIC and HH enrollment redirect will continue to operate exactly as it does today.

Availability: This enhancement is available to all tenants using the Benefits in a Card or Hooray Health system settings. Contact your Avionté representative if you are interested in enabling either integration for your organization.

🔐 Permissions

No new permissions are required for this enhancement. Access to Benefits in a Card and Hooray Health onboarding tasks follows the same requirements as the existing enrollment integrations. Users who can currently send onboarding tasks will see no change in their experience, and Talent in FO-only tenants will be able to complete enrollment once the applicable system setting is enabled.

Talent MFA Opt-In - Live 5/7

🚀 What's New

What is the improvement?

AviontéBOLD now gives talent users the ability to opt into multi-factor authentication (MFA) on their own, without requiring agencies to enforce MFA across their entire talent pool. When the Talent MFA Opt-In system setting is enabled, talent users are prompted at login to enroll in MFA. Talent who do not enroll will lose access to sensitive areas of the talent portal, including Direct Deposit information, Personal information, Pay History, Documents, and Tax information and forms.

Please refer to Log in to AviontéBOLD with MFA and Avionté MFA FAQ.

Why?

Many agencies have held off on enabling MFA because the existing setting was all-or-nothing: either enforce it across the entire tenant or skip it entirely. That created real friction, with recruiters fielding login issues, talent getting locked out, and agencies absorbing the support burden. The result was lower adoption and accounts left unprotected.

This change removes that barrier. Agencies can now enable MFA in a way that encourages adoption without forcing it, and talent who don't enroll are automatically restricted from the most sensitive areas of the portal, reducing the risk of unauthorized changes to banking and contact information.

How does this impact you?

Once the Talent MFA Opt-In setting has been enabled for your environment, talent users who log in without MFA enrolled will see a Secure Your Account with MFA prompt at login. The prompt includes a language selector supporting English, Spanish, and French. From there, talent can:

  • Enroll in MFA: they are redirected to complete MFA setup before continuing.
  • Decline: a confirmation modal requires them to acknowledge their access will be limited. Talent who decline cannot access or edit their Direct Deposit information, Personal information, Pay History, Documents, or Tax information and forms. An Access Restricted notification appears when they attempt to navigate to any of these areas.

The prompt appears at every login until the talent user enrolls. After declining, a Set Up MFA button remains visible on the talent portal sidebar so talent can enroll at any time without logging out and back in.

HCM administrators with the MFA Admin user permission can un-enroll a talent user from MFA by toggling off the MFA Opted-In toggle on the talent's profile. A Reset MFA Factor button is also available on the talent profile to clear the enrolled factor if the talent's contact information changes. All MFA enrollment and un-enrollment actions are logged as talent activities and recorded in the audit log.

System Setting/User Permission Update: New system setting: Talent MFA Opt-In. Disabled by default. To enable this feature for your environment, contact Avionté. HCM administrators must have the MFA Admin user permission enabled to opt talent in or out of MFA.

Compliance | Emergency Contact Addition - Live 5/7 | Off Cycle

🚀 What's New

This release does not follow our normal two week release cycle. The feature or update is Live as of 5/7/2026.

The Talent's Profile tab now includes an Emergency Contact Reason field for both the Primary and Secondary emergency contacts. The dropdown offers multiple options, including Detained/Arrested

Why?

This addition supports compliance requirements by allowing talents to designate a specific contact person in the event of detainment or arrest.

How does this impact you?

The Emergency Contact Reason field will appear on the Talent Profile alongside the existing Name, Phone, and Email fields for both the Primary and Secondary emergency contacts. No configuration is required for the field to appear. If your organization uses Talent Questionnaires, you have the option to include this field as a question.

System Setting/User Permission Update: None.

Talent Search | Background Check Consent Search Term - Live 5/7

🚀 What's New

What is the improvement?

A new search term, Background Check Consent, is now available in BOLD Talent Search. Recruiters can use this term to filter Talent based on their background check consent status, and optionally narrow results by the date consent was given.

The Background Check Consent term includes a radio button selector with three options:

  • Yes — Returns Talent who have provided consent to a background check. When selected, a Consent Date section appears with optional From Date and To Date fields to further filter by the date consent was given.
  • No — Returns Talent who have declined consent to a background check.
  • Pending — Returns Talent who have no background check consent record on file.

The search term can be added, pinned, and saved like any other Talent Search term. A selection must be made before clicking Done.

Why?

Recruiters previously had no way to search for Talent based on background check consent status. Confirming whether a candidate had consented required navigating to each Talent profile's Screenings tab individually, which was time-consuming — especially when building large candidate lists or ensuring compliance before initiating background check workflows.

How does this impact you?

HCM users with access to Talent Search can now filter candidates by consent status in seconds, without leaving the search experience. The Consent Date range filter (available when Yes is selected) adds an additional layer of precision for workflows that require time-bound consent tracking.

System Setting/User Permission Update: No new permissions are required. The Background Check Consent search term follows the same access requirements as the existing Background Checks search term.

Back Office Custom Fields: Additional Controls - Live 5/7

🚀 What's New

What is the improvement?

AviontéBOLD now includes two additions to the Back Office custom fields experience. A Hired Details button has been added to each placement row on both the Talent > Placements screen and the Company > Jobs > Placements screen, giving you direct access to hired details without leaving the placements view. Additionally, a new "Edit Custom Fields" user permission lets administrators control who can add, edit, and delete custom fields across Talent, Company, Company Office, Job, and Placement records.

Why?

Hired Details button:

Previously, accessing hired details from the Placements screen required navigating away from the table entirely. The new button opens the Hired Details panel inline, so you can review and update placement custom field data for all placements tied to a talent or company in one place, without losing your filters or scroll position.

Edit Custom Fields permission:

Not every user who works in BOLD needs the ability to modify custom field data. The new permission lets administrators restrict who can add, edit, and delete custom fields, independently from other record permissions, so the right people control that data.

How does this impact you?

The Hired Details button now appears in each placement row on the Talent > Placements screen and the Company > Jobs > Placements screen. Click it to open the Hired Details panel inline. No navigation required, and your table state (filters, scroll position) stays intact when you close the panel.

The Edit Custom Fields permission is enabled by default for all existing HCM users. For new users, the permission is disabled by default. To restrict access, navigate to the user's permissions and disable "Edit Custom Fields" under the Modification Access category. When disabled, the field dropdown, Edit button, and Delete button are greyed out in the Talent, Company, Company Office, Job, and Placement custom fields sections.

System Setting/User Permission Update: New user permission added — "Edit Custom Fields" under the Modification Access category. Enabled by default for all existing HCM users. Disabled by default for new users.

Placement Age Restrictions - Live 5/7

🚀 What's New

What is the improvement?

AviontéBOLD now allows administrators to set a minimum age requirement that automatically prevents underage talent from being placed on jobs. The restriction can be configured at the tenant level to apply for all jobs, or at the company level if only certain customers have age restrictions.

Why?

Agencies working with clients who require employees to meet a minimum age have had no automated safeguard — leaving recruiters to verify age manually before every placement. This change enforces the requirement at the point of placement automatically, reducing compliance risk and removing a step that was easy to miss.

How does this impact you?

Users with Sales Manager permissions (company level) or Table Editor permissions (tenant level) can enable the Age Restriction setting to set the minimum age threshold. Once enabled, any attempt to start a talent who does not meet the requirement — based on a comparison of the current date to the talent's date of birth — or whose date of birth is missing, will be blocked with an error in the Start Talent panel.

System Setting/User Permission Update: New configuration option added — Age Restriction under Table Editor / Company Filled Job Restrictions. Disabled by default.

Talent Profile: Add Default Taxes Button - Live 5/7 | Off Cycle

🚀 What's New

What is the improvement?

A new Add Default Taxes button is now available on the Tax tab of a talent's profile in AviontéBOLD. Clicking it automatically generates and populates the appropriate federal, state, and provincial tax records for the talent based on their location data.

Why?

As part of Avionté's ongoing work to bring tax management into the talent profile experience in BOLD, tax detail setup was introduced in late 2025. The Add Default Taxes button is the next step in that same initiative — completing the workflow by allowing users to automatically generate the correct tax records rather than building them manually.

How does this impact you?

Navigate to a talent's profile, select the Tax tab, and click Add Default Taxes. The system will generate federal, state, and provincial tax records based on the talent's geocode. If the talent does not have a geocode on file, an error will prompt you to update their contact information before proceeding.

For more information, see: Tax Setup in Talent Profile

System Setting/User Permission Update: None.

New Enhanced Reports Available - Live 5/7 | Off Cycle

🚀 What's New

This release does not follow our normal two week release cycle. The feature or update is Live as of 5/7/2026.

What is the improvement?

The Enhanced Cash Receipt Report, Enhanced 24/7 Placement Report (With Gross Profit), Enhanced Talent Adobe E-Signature Document Report, Enhanced Sales Stats Report, and Enhanced Department of Labor Report are now available. Along with all Enhanced Reports, these deliver a 90% performance improvement over standard AviontéBOLD reports, with reports completing in seconds instead of minutes. You'll also gain access to 5+ years of historical data in a single report (up from the previous 1-year limit), approximately 5-minute data refresh for near real-time insights, and enhanced stability that eliminates timeout errors.

Why?

Legacy reporting infrastructure created workflow bottlenecks—slow processing times, limited historical data access, and reliability issues. Enhanced Reporting leverages Avionté's modern Snowflake/Sisense data architecture to provide the speed and data depth needed for better workforce analysis and faster decision-making.

How does this impact you?

Enhanced Reporting launched February 12th with a modernized interface that makes reporting easier. Reports now auto-load with default date parameters, feature streamlined filters, and offer improved export access. If you frequently analyze multi-year workforce trends or experience slow report processing, this update will significantly improve your workflow. INSIGHTS customers gain additional sharing, scheduling, and customization capabilities for effortless report distribution across teams.

Enhanced Standard Reporting Availability: Enhanced Standard Reporting is available as an optional feature. To opt in, submit a support ticket or contact your CSM to enable faster processing, extended historical data, and improved reliability.
