Understanding This Report

What This Report Shows You

The Company Info with Company Types report displays one row per company record, combining all the fields available in the standard Company Info report with two additional columns: Company Type and Linked Parent Company. Company Type identifies each record as either Standard or Parent. Linked Parent Company shows the name of the parent company associated with a standard company record, or displays blank if no parent is linked.

Why Use This Report

Use this report to answer questions that require visibility into your company structure:

  • Which companies in a given region are Parent accounts vs. Standard accounts?
  • Which standard companies are linked to a specific parent company?
  • How many parent company records exist across divisions or offices?
  • Which standard companies have no linked parent assigned?
  • What is the full contact and status detail for all companies of a given type?

Who Benefits From This Report

Different roles use this report to support specific needs:

Account Managers: Understand the full parent-child structure of their accounts and confirm which standard companies roll up to which parent — without manual record-by-record review.

Operations Managers: Audit company type assignments, verify parent linkages are accurate, and export structured data for record quality reviews.

Recruiters: Filter by company type when researching accounts to ensure they're engaging the right level of the organization.

Executive Leadership: Review the distribution of parent and standard company records across the organization to support account structure planning.
