1. Deductions | Increase the character limit on reference field on deduction

Improvement: Classic has been improved to expand the character limit on the reference number field on deductions.    

How does this impact you?

Users can enter reference numbers up to 100 characters.

 

2. Tax | Wyoming Worker Comp Tax Calculation Issue

Improvement: Classic has been improved to calculate Wyoming Worker's Comp Tax amounts.    

How does this impact you?

Follow this process when calculating Wyoming Worker's Comp Tax amounts:

1. Start from Admin Tools | Employer | Wc Code tab
2. On the field chooser on the Rate table, the fields LNIEE and LNIER have been updated to be WCEE and WCER.  The label was updated to be generic for WC taxes.  
3. Locate the WC codes for WY
4. Add the new fields from the field chooser
5. Enter the WY WC tax rates
6. Save

Note: WA L&I tax will use the same fields for calculating taxes, no updates are needed for WA L&I that is already setup.

3. Agency | Update to Agency info - Require Invoice Pay

Improvement: Classic has been improved to override the require invoice pay option when the bill amount on a transaction is zero.    

How does this impact you?

Customers no longer have to remove the require invoice pay checkmark on Agency | Service Info in order to pay a transaction that has no bill amount.

 

4. Payroll | Customer & Employee: Add School District and PSD to overrides

Improvement: Classic has been improved to include a school district and PSD code fields to the override geocode on customer and employee addresses.    

How does this impact you?

On the employee and customer addresses, there are now additional fields for school district and PSD code under the Override Geocode option.

 

5. Payroll | DRM during payroll process looking for missing School District Codes

Improvement: Classic has been updated to include a new DRM during payroll processing to locate missing PSD codes.  The DRM is a warning and can be bypassed.  The DRM is deployed as inactive.    

How does this impact you?

To enable this DRM navigate to Admin Tools | Data Requirement Message:

1. Search for 

- ppv_CheckForMissingSchoolDistrictCode_Resident

- ppv_CheckForMissingSchoolDistrictCode_Worksite

2. Check IsActive and select the Branches it should be active on

3. Click Save

6. Advanced Search | Advanced Search returning results outside of specified date range

Improvement: AvionteClassic has been improved to include a 'between' operator on Advanced Search.

How does this impact you?

On the Advanced Search when using a date search there is now an operator of between.  When selecting between the user will be presented with a calendar in the UI.  The user can click and then drag to select a date range in the month.  The calendar UI cannot cross months.  To search across months select a date range and then edit the value in the Value cell.

Release Date: 10/10/2024

1. Taxes | Updates for AL OT Exemption

Improvement: Effective October 1, 2024, Alabama updated the wording for the overtime exemption to be in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.  The FLSA does not have any provisions in regards to double time and only mandates that overtime be paid for hours worked over 40 hours.  Any double-time hours will not be exempt from AL WH.    

Why? The state of AL updated the verbiage to the Overtime Exemption law effective October 1, 2024. 

How does this impact you?

As of October 1, 2024, if an employee has reg OT wages, those wages will be exempt from AL WH.  Any DT hours will not be exempt as the FLSA has no provisions in regards to DT.

2. Export | Multi-employer Berkheimer LST export

Improvement: AvionteClassic has been improved to include a Quarterly PA LST Multi-Employer feed for Berkheimer. 

How does this impact you?

Under Weekly Process is a new Standard feed called Quarterly PA LST Multi-Employer Berkheimer.  

Under Admin Tools | Employer | Tax - there is also a new Local IDs tab.  Under the Local IDs is a sub-header for HABIDs which is required for the Multi-Employer feed.

3. Payroll | Update payroll to calculate properly when batch has multiple week ending dates within the same week

Improvement: AvionteClassic has been updated to calculate payroll properly when a batch has multiple week ending dates within the same week. 

Why? Prior to the improvement if an employee/talent had various week worked dates in the same batch but within the same week, payroll was calculating as bi-weekly instead of weekly despite the pay period being weekly. 

How does this impact you?

When processing payroll, taxes will calculate properly based on the pay period if dates are within the same pay period (Accounting Period).

 

4. Accrual Enhancement | Move Auto-Insert to the Accrual Plan Level

Improvement: AvionteClassic has improved Accruals by moving the Allow Auto-Insert option to the Accrual plan level instead of the Locality Configuration.

How does this impact you?

In an effort to improve accrual plans, the Allow Auto-Insert option was moved to the plan level instead of being on the locality configuration tab.
